Mieke is a workaholic detective that drowns herself in work, so she doesn't deal with her father's death. She stumbles on a mysterious sphere that has a whole community of inhuman-like creatures with powers fighting over it. If that sphere falls into the wrong hands, it could mean enslavement, even death for the entire human race. Every human will be at the mercy of these vampires. The only thing that can help humankind is taking a leap of faith and making alliances where least expected.
